Phu Quoc Island

Green Bay Resort

In a world that often moves at breakneck speed, sometimes all we need is a gentle reminder to slow down and appreciate life’s simple pleasures. Our recent escape to Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam, gifted us just that – a chance to unwind, rejuvenate, and bask in the island’s tranquil beauty. As avid travelers who typically seek budget-friendly adventures and historical landmarks, we made a conscious decision to embrace a different kind of journey this time. Our trip to Phu Quoc allowed us to savor the luxury of relaxation while staying at the enchanting Green Bay Resort, savoring every moment of the rainy season’s uncrowded bliss.

Our journey had us arriving late in the evening, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel’s front desk service staff, we opted to skip dinner after indulging in a lavish meal at Hanoi’s airport with our Chase Sapphire card’s priority pass. The following morning greeted us with the gentle lapping of waves, as we relished a long beachside breakfast before spending blissful hours in our private pool, admiring the breathtaking bay and beach below. A couple’s full body massage elevated our pampering session, worth every extra penny, while the rest of the day was spent luxuriating in the opulent accommodations, swimming, and soaking in the outdoor tub, all while being captivated by the island’s natural beauty. Phu Quoc’s Green Bay Resort became an unforgettable chapter in our travel journey, an ode to the art of savoring the present and reveling in the wonders of this tropical paradise.

The next day, we explored the island and visited the pearl factory, where we learned about pearls and found some great deals. We also went to Sun World, which is a newly created resort area that looked like a cross between Disneyland and Italy. We paid $25 dollars to ride the trolley to an uninhabited island that has a waterpark, and the Hon Thom cable car, which is the world’s longest sea-crossing cable car at 7.899,9m in length, had spectacular views. We took lots of pictures with our camera. Later, we visited the night market and bought some souvenirs to take back home. We also enjoyed fresh seafood at a restaurant near the water.

Although the resort offered snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, bicycle riding, tennis, a fitness center, and more, we decided to spend the next two days lounging in beach chairs and hammocks, listening to the gentle sound of waves. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. All in all, we can’t wait to return to Phu Quoc Island and experience another restful and rejuvenating getaway.

One of the highlights of our stay at Green Bay Resort was the romantic evening we spent in our cabin, enjoying room service and swimming in our private pool. It was such a treat to have everything we needed right there in our own space, and we felt like we were a million miles away from the stresses of daily life. As we quietly watched the sunset over the bay, we felt truly content and grateful for the opportunity to relax and recharge in such a beautiful setting.
